Privacy notice for customer feedback

When you scan a sign at a participating business, your rating and any optional details you add are collected for that business (the controller of your feedback). Robinson Consulting operates Table Talk Feedback as the business's authorized service provider and can access submissions to provide the service and, where the business has asked, to help review feedback and prepare testimonials.

What is collected

• Your rating, the location and sign you used, the time, and the language shown.
• Optionally: a comment, a display name, and contact details if you ask for a follow-up.
• A random short-lived browser identifier used only to count page visits (no fingerprinting).

How it is used

• Your feedback is private. It is not a public review and is not posted anywhere by this service.
• Low ratings send an email alert to the business's manager. Emails are delivered by our operational email provider.
• Contact details are used only to follow up on your feedback, never for marketing.
• Only if you separately tick the testimonial permission box may the business later use your exact comment and chosen display name as a testimonial on its website, in unpaid posts on its own social media accounts, and in its printed materials (such as signs, menus, brochures and flyers), as described in that permission text. It does not cover paid ads, boosted posts or posting reviews on your behalf, and this service never publishes anything itself. You can withdraw permission at any time using the link shown after submitting, or by emailing us; the business is then asked to stop new use and remove it where it controls placement, though print already handed out or reshares by others cannot be recalled.

Retention

Feedback is kept while the business uses the service and for a limited period afterwards under the business's retention terms. Optional contact details can be deleted on request. Records of testimonial permission and withdrawal are kept as evidence for as long as needed.

Children

Testimonial permission is only available to people who confirm they are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

To access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw testimonial permission if you lost your link, email privacy@example.com. We will verify the request before acting on it.
